When you have a “block” on your account it simply means you have a message or comment in your account. You can usually still check out other items when you have a “block.”

There are many things that could come up on your record as a “block.” Blocks include fines, canceled holds, items to be picked up, interlibrary loan requests, message to borrower, and address updates.
