Q. What is a Call No. and why does it have a person’s name instead of a number?

A Call Number is the way that items are sorted on our shelves.  Call Numbers can encompass the Fiction sections, where the author's name is used for alphabetical sorting, and the Non-Fiction section, where the Dewey Decimal System is used for numerical sorting.  By using the Call Number you are able to locate the item on our library shelves as any of our libraries the item is physically at.
