Q. Can I request a movie through “I don’t see it” even if it just released?

We order DVDs through our vendor as soon as possible.  This may end up being many months before the movie comes out on DVD.

We cannot place an order until the vendor allows us to do so.  For example, we cannot order a DVD if the popular movie was just released in the theater.

Once the DVD is ordered, you can place a request on the DVD.  Many patrons frequently visit the New Movies area on our webpage and then place holds on DVDs that are listed as On Order.  That is probably why sometimes you end up being at 100-something on the list.
