Q. What does CDEV mean?

The status of CDEV is short for "Collection Development".  When an item has the CDEV designation it cannot be checked out or placed on request.

An item may be designated as CDEV for a number of reasons:

• Damage Repair
• Item Replacement
• General Cleaning
• Reorganizing

For most items the status of CDEV is temporary.
